Pineview Shooting Victim

As many of you may have already heard, there was a shooting in Ottawa's east end neighborhood of Pineview early in the morning of Saturday December 19th 2015.
What you may not know, is that the victim (hit by a stray bullet, and nearly missed by a second while asleep in her bed) is a good friend of mine. She is not involved in any shady activity nor was she the intended target. She was abruptly awakened shortly after 4am when 2 bullets came through her ceiling from the apartment unit above hers. She was rushed to hospital, and was thankfully released the same day though she could not return home due to ongoing crime scene investigations. I'm glad to report that she is now back home and in good spirits.
Here's where you come in...
She will be off work without pay for at least two weeks, and is incurring unexpected medical expenses all at a time of year that is already tough on the pocketbook. All because of a freak accident that could have been terribly worse. I think it would be amazing, if we could all pitch in whatever we can to help cover her medical expenses and to supplement lost income so she can make the most of the Holidays with her family without financial burden.
I have created this gofundme on her behalf, and am respecting her wish to remain anonymous.
